Membership Information

The IAAMB was founded as a forum for animal massage and bodywork professionals to network and support each other. Our members share a common goal of advancing the field of animal massage and bodywork.

IAAMB Individual Professional Membership fee is $95.00 per year.

For an additional $30.00 per year, IAAMB members can also purchase membership in the Association of Canine Water Therapy (ACWT).

IAAMB/ACWT Membership Categories and fees are changed effective January 1, 2011.

The IAAMB is committed to being the responsible agent and referral source for high quality animal massage and bodywork educational programs. Beginning 1 January, 2011, the IAAMB initiated the Animal Massage/Acupressure/Bodywork/Energy work Educator Preferred Provider category. This is a separate membership from the Individual Practitioner Member.

Beginning in 2011, the Educator Preferred Provider annual rate will be $199.00.

Responding to many requests to be the source for mentoring and support for practitioners new to our industry, as of 1 January, 2011, we now offer IAAMB Student Memberships at a discounted rate.

Educator Preferred Provider for

Accepted application including

  • Established date
  • School Description
  • Location (physical and/or virtual)
  • Size of physical location
  • Number of locations
  • Instructors, curricula vite and experience in the animal massage/bodywork field
  • Number of classes offered each year
  • Average number of students per class
  • Titles of courses, number of contact hours for each course
  • Texts used
  • Length of programs
  • Costs for programs
  • Other certifications

Benefits:

  • May advertise course offerings in the IAAMB Newsletter and website
  • Accredited through the IAAMB
  • student referrals

Cost: $199/year

Individual Professional Member

Requirements:

  • Completion of 100 hours of General Massage & Body Work courses from IAAMB/ACWT accredited schools and/or instructors
  • and/or documented experience as an animal massage/bodyworker for a minimum of 2 years
  • and/or prior membership in the IAAMB/ACWT (present members are grandparented in).

Benefits:

  • Membership certificate, suitable for framing,
  • permission to use IAAMB/ACWT logo on your website and marketing materials
  • regional referrals with a professional page with hot links to your website from www.iaamb.org

IAAMB Cost: $95.00/year
IAAMB/ACWT: $125.00/year

Student Membership

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in accredited Animal Massage/Acupressure/Bodywork/Energy work school

Cost: $25/for first year only
