Pre-Conference Workshop
Animal Bowen Touch Balancing
Registration info below

The IAAMB hosts this 3-day workshop with Carol Bennet ,
BT, ANA, CTBI and Lynn Peck, DVM, MS Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday, April 19-21, 2005. The workshop will focus on teaching
this technique for use in small animals; however, the information
presented is applicable for horses and other animals, including reptiles
and birds.
Animal Bowen™ is based on the Bowen Technique developed by
the late Thomas Bowen (1916-1986) of Geelong, Australia. It consists
of a series of gentle rolling moves performed with index fingers
and thumbs in a precise sequence at specific locations. These "rock"
the skin and underlying tissues and fascia, stimulating the nerve(s)
in that area and altering muscle tension. The moves are applied at
timed intervals, allowing the body a chance to equilibrate between
stimulations. Much of the response actually occurs in-between the
moves, leading to the expression: the "Hands-Off" Hands-on
Technique™.
Registration is open to veterinarians and all who are interested in
animal body work.
